What is Queen Memory Foam?

There are many people vying for your queen memory foam mattress business and some of them aren’t the most honest, in their claims about their products.

The most critical thing you should remember is that density of foam is the most crucial determining factor in your ultimate comfort as well as the longevity of your mattress.

Queen memory foam mattresses, or any other size, should be of at least 5 lb density and toppers should be 4 lb. minimum density. Denser foam will support your body better than less dense foam.

Denser foam will last up to 20 years, or so, while less dense foam will not return to it’s full former shape in as little as 10 – 12 months. Mid-range foams will last 5-10 years.

You’ll find that your queen memory foam mattress will readily conform to the shape of your body and then, as you lie on it, the heat, of your body, will transfer into the memory foam and cause it to further soften.

Injured areas, of your body, will often be fevered and that increased temperature will soften the mattress even more right where you want it.

Whether you sleep on your side, back or stomach (or a combination) you’ll find memory foam to be very supportive and comfortable.

Because of the ability of a visco foam mattress to spread your weight out evenly over the surface of the mattress you won’t be as likely to develop pressure points.

Normal pressure points are created when your hips and shoulders are carrying most of the weight of your body. The circulation can be cut off in those areas and you’ll turn over to relieve that pressure.

Many times you’ll turn as many as 60 times during the night and that doesn’t exactly make for a restful night’s sleep.

The other hazard is that, if you don’t turn when your circulation is cut off it will cause your arms and legs to “go to sleep” or become numb.

That’s not healthy either so the even distribution of your weight is very important.

A queen memory foam mattress measures 60″ x 80″.
